Emeco + The Moderns Celebrate Cinco de Mayo

The Moderns were pleased to co-host an event last night highlighting the product launch of Emeco Furniture’s Lancaster Collection. Designed by Michael Young— a rising star in the industrial design world living and innovating in Hong Kong, each piece in the
collection is a combination of recycled aluminum and reclaimed ash wood legs.  Each piece is manufactured locally in Lancaster, PA. The Lancaster Collection as well as other selected pieces from Emeco’s beautiful lines looked perfectly placed as they were showcased on the office’s bleachers.

As it was Cinco de Mayo, everyone enjoyed “the best sangria ever”, Latin music, pinatas, and Mexican food in our beautiful new space. We indulged in Greyston Bakery’s brownies (the official bakery of Ben and Jerry’s) known as Do-Goodies. Why Do-Goodies? Because they do a lot of good! Along with a commitment to baking high quality, all-natural
products, they train and hire the underserved of Yonkers, NY (Read more!)

It wasn’t just Cinco de Mayo its also International Compost Awareness Week so… we showcased the posters that Kevin designed for the week and gave out our Moderns made compost in celebration of composting.

The best part of the evening was a chance to see and reconnect with long time friends, collaborators, and clients like Dan, Chris, Marie, Francois, Debbie, Dorothy and many more. We also met lots of new cool people like Hans, Maria, Howard, Gerold, Alexandra, Brett, the list goes on and on…

The food was great, the chairs were gorgeous, and the crowd was up for a party!

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend, and hats off to Selina and Emeco for a great event!
